description High bluffs and cobblestone shoreline, an 1860's lighthouse, a challenging 18-hole golf course, a professional summer theater, a sandy swimming beach, bike trails and a year-round Naturalist program make this 3,776-acre park extremely popular. All sites are within a five minute walk to the shoreline.
drivingDirection From Green Bay take Hwy 42/57 North. Once north of Sturgeon Bay remain on Hwy 42 North to Fish Creek. The park is located approximately 1 mile from the village limits. Turn left at the large entrance sign.

importantInformation The observation tower located in Peninsula State Park, known as Eagle Tower, will be closed immediately because of structural concerns. At this time, the department has not made any plans to repair or replace the tower. Further study of the inspection report along with the availability of funding will determine the future of the structure. This park has a two motor vehicle limit per campsite. Additional vehicles must be parked in the overflow parking areas. Vehicle admission stickers are required. Click here for the cost of the sticker. DOOR COUNTY HALF MARATHON: SATURDAY, MAY 6, 2017 The Door County Half Marathon will be run on the roads in Peninsula State Park. Most roads will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the safety of runners and spectators.Group Camp traffic may enter or exit the Group Camp towards the Golf Course on Shore Road all day. Boater access to the boat launch at Nicolet Bay will be restricted during the Half Marathon. Boaters may launch prior to the road closure (at 8 a.m.), no vehicles may exit the boat launch parking lot until the race has concluded, at approximately 2 p.m.Tennison Bay Campground campers may exit the park until 9:30 a.m. No vehicles may enter or exit Tennison Bay campground between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. At 11 a.m. traffic may enter or exit Tennison Bay Campground past the campground recycling station towards Park Headquarters on Shore Road.
